4th of July Parade
American Legion Post 79 proudly invites the entire community to join us this Fourth of July as we celebrate the 249th anniversary of American independence during Madison’s annual Independence Day Parade—let’s come together to honor our nation’s freedom and those who defend it.
The parade steps off promptly at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 4, proceeding west along Boston Post Road (Route 1) from Samson Rock Drive to West Wharf Road, ending at the Surf Club. Expect road closures beginning around 9:45 a.m.
Full details, including the parade route and traffic information, are available on the Town of Madison’s official Independence Day Events page:

We also warmly welcome all Veterans who would like to march. Please join the Veterans’ group at the intersection of Route 1 and Samson Rock Drive between 9:00 and 9:30 a.m. We will assemble on Burnbahm Lane, where groups will be organized. American Legion members will march behind our banner. Marchers are not required to proceed all the way to the Surf Club, but should be prepared to march at least to the Town Green area.
If you have questions about which group to march with, please see Charlie Corso at the assembly area for assistance.
We look forward to standing with you in tribute and celebration!
